Thread: ideas for a drive in Tahr hunt

hi looking for ideas for a drive in Tahr hunt early july. preferably in the canterbury region, will be myself closer to 60 years and a young fella 16 years old who hasn't
done a lot in the alpine areas. i'm hoping to get up to growler hut if the weather and river obliges but wouldn't mind some ideas for other areas that might be suitable
quite happy to walk in for a few nights to a hut somewhere as well if driving is not an option.
