I think it will possibly be different to what is normally considered a region. Or what is considered a DHB region. Wellington is a good example. I suspect that the Wellington side of the Rimutakas will be required to stay on that side and visa versa. By the time Aucklanders get out of the city limits for a hunt, I suspect they will have had to drive longer than permitted. Hunting on private land will also include small game and any sort of hunting is better than none in my opinion ay. There will undoubtedly be a heap of city hunters who are disadvantaged by this, but I would suggest the rule is being made around what is safe not what is neccessarily fair. I guess its not forever. My attitude is that of celebrating what I can do as of next week and not what I cant. I also cant wait to get in to the bush and hear the bellbirds again. Something to look forward to that's for sure.
