About LinkBacksToby, you seem very interested in dropping them on the spot. Hitting the spine or shocking the spine is is usually what causes this so head/neck/ high lung shots are most likely to do it. Hopefully your chosen projectile and placement causes enough damage to make them bleed out before the central nervous system recovers if it hasent been destroyed.
