Thread: lump on a fallows chest

We experienced a similar thing on a nanny tahr last year. When cutting it up there was pus in the right shoulder area. We did a good autopsy and found nothing else wrong or suspicious so the meat from the back end and back straps was kept. I believe the animal had experienced a fall and was well on the way to a good recovery. Not nice to see but quite different to human pus. Looked more like runny custard. I wasn't about to try it on my desert though.
