    MTN Gear Stick

hi I am wondering if MTN gear stick would be reasonable to shoot off, getting older and could use a walking stick going down steep faces and to prop up the bino's. currently shoot off knee sitting down to get above grass so has anyone else used one to shoot with. I currently only shoot out to 200 yards but would like to go to 400 if I could get consistent.

I'm interested in these too. My foot injury is just about behind me, only really tough things left are steep downhill and the tractor steps. I've long used a knibby or hill stick but one long enough won't stow in a nice safe place in the tractor cab.

I've corresponded with the owner of Mtn sticks (he has been very obliging) and he can supply a longer bottom section to make it long enough for my current need (hopefully ACC might come to the party, have had bugger all else from them for 5 months off work).

The 4 leg sticks are with a bit of practice easily minute of deer to 400 but a single stick . . .. maybe 200ish standing and 250-300ish sitting?

I'm still weighing up one of his bipods, with a view to getting a stick later in I think I need to. Cost is my biggest holdup right at the moment.

yep have taken a few shots off the MTN Stick, it depends what you compare it to. Its a lot better than standing so if your kneeling and want a rest it does work well. In saying that being a mono pole it does tend to move around if your used to shooting off a bipod.
Defiantly serves a purpose if you can't use your bipod, not sure if id want to be shooting 400m with it tho
