It's definitely up online (https://www.tvnz.co.nz/shows/nz-hunter-adventures). I don't know if it's up on the TVNZ on Demand App on your TV yet
Brilliant show, I know several non hunters that love watching it also. Its a win and shows hunters in a good light.
AS I type this I have fallow topside and silverside in the slow cooker. It smells so good!!
As for the dog 'issue' that Karen raised I don't see the problem if they had the hut to themselves.
Keep it up NZ Hunter

I just watched episode 2. Wonderful. 3 beautiful young people.
Funny it won't come up on the TV but will on the phone.
Another good episode, having hunted the Greenstone it brings back good memories, looking forward to part 2
So is it only on Duke until ondemand later on?

Its on demand now just watched it. But you need to create a login to TVNZ to be able to find it on there.
Good watch and the cooking is a nice addition.
Good to see they are not dressed like compost bins (I don’t own or never owned any camo gear, could never understand why people wouldn’t use tramping kit that is made for mountains)
They are committed folk to Backcountry, not sure I could be that dedicated!
I have noticed they are using a lot of Rab gear which is all good quality stuff.

Compost bins LOL - Footy shorts and merino eh :)
Never thought I would see a non 7mm rifle used on a big south island hunt by the NZ Hunter crew (must be Emils). Im not angry, just disappointed :P
All I can say is that I'm enjoying this new season so far. Good content, well presented, and honest. Big ups to the crew.
I liked the "bloopers" they showed at the end too :) You just know real life doesn't always go as planned or as shown on film.
Funny, that's the first thing I thought of when they showed the winch in action pulling skins. "Wonder how often they pull the head off?"
Another good episode and result, really enjoyed it as I’ve hunted that block a few times, they should have asked @Tahr and I where the big bucks hide lol
The first time I hunted there was mid winter and the valley was in permanent frost for the whole 5 days, Willies trip looked tropical in comparison lol
@Tahr And once again; impressed by their patience and determination :)
Dam,missed it last night.:oh noes:
5 shots for 5 animals...that lass can shoot.
Such a pleasure to watch. Between Willie and Emil they have it locked down
Great couple of episodes. Neat way to finish the trip with Shay getting her buck. Those small goods looks delicious. I really enjoyed the end where Willie was explaining why they where targeting hinds, good way to get that message out there.
@Tahr Knowing where not to go is also good info :D
she is a demon on the rifle!
I really liked the explanation of the scopes too. Especially how they didn't just show the high-tech options to please the sponsor. They also mentioned the traditional old school few inches high at 100 metres/point blank style too.
Just curious what cal they were using in the Greenstone episodes?
I thought they said .300WSM in the first episode? But could be wrong.... Often am..... ;)
.300 Win Mag
Yep, very well done. The explainer segments have taken a nice step forwards this series I think - enough information to give you an idea of the depths of the knowledge and technology available to us to improve the experience if we so choose without getting bogged down.
I find it heartening how many people here report non-hunters watching and enjoying this series. It's a credit to the work they put in and that they've learnt a lot as the years have gone on - well done to the team!
And on top of that Emil's kiwi accent is coming along nicely
Im just finding the whole show very relatable and super aspirational. Its nice to watch something and be able to think, "I have an approximation of that gear, and if I put in the work, I could achieve that result"
Doing the math on the gear value and private access required on some of the other hunting media can be pretty daunting.
Im also enjoying not being marketed too for the entire show, some stuff has more not so subtle ads during the episode than in the ad breaks!
Just watched it.
Well done Shay, what a champ.
Quote of the day goes to Emil.."I'm quite proud of my flatmate," [emoji3]
Good on you @NZ Hunter Adventures for portraying our back country hunting the way it should be.[emoji106]
Excellant as always !!

Enjoyed those last two Greg. What time of year was that?
