and illsecond rushys motion (as long as it aint a wet one).seriously this port hills thing .iwas approached a while ago by a sheila at work (didnt know her from Adam)who asked if i could shoot a deer for her !
seems the family have a lifestyle block out Tai _Tapu somewhere and had recently had problems with a particularly belligerent red stag whod taken a liking to their vege crop but a distinct dislike to the families kingcharles spaniel who was sent in to "chase the deer away!"(oh dearie me thinks me struggling to keep a straight face at that image).seems this stroppy bugger dined royally for a week or more before a "farming" friend of theirs converted him into freezer product-strangley enough this sheila was vegetarian so dunno who got the deer. Idid not ask about the actions of the farming friend _Ido not want to know -but me -no i wouldnt -to me using a centerfire in a urban area -NUP
I have from time to time heard of more like this though further out little river way.

wild game on the port hills -yupand guess what else is looming as a major problem for the CCC and E-Can-bloody canada geese an absolute infestation of the bastrds in the avon ,esturay ,and over in the wildlands formerly QE2 area.wonder which munchkin is gonna get the job of solving that !
