Thread: old kaimai road hunting

went down the north tram track off Old Kaimai Road on Saturday. My goal was to get to the slips almost directly east of the north tram track by first light unfortunately I wasn't going to make it by first light. by the time I got there there there was thick fog covering the slips. I decided to walk up one of the slips on the left-hand side, then across, looking down into the next couple. after sitting in the cold wind for nearly an hour I decided to head down near a stream on the map. I had only made 20 meters from the base of the slip when I heard a crash. i let out a quick meh and it came running back all i could was its head a must not have it well because I couldnt find it. but while following the blood trail ran into a young boar.

Good start young fella, Bugger about the lost animal. Id have gone back to look for it again on Sunday as its been cold enough. But finding animals in the kaimais is a good start
