Out from Wap block, West Coast bound

Done the Wap thing, seen a few, lots young reds though.

Been for overnighter in my fave spot, seen a ripper an a couple tahrs.

Heading to west coast, looking for a heads-up on a reasonably mild walk in hut or location for stag or tahr with missus in toe.

PM me please , anywhere from Haast to Franz is on the cards

    Much love.

Much of the Haast area is ballot blocks at the moment, till 21 April. I think unballoted areas start from about Paringa?

6 hrs up is welcome flat
You can hunt side creek for deer and chamois
3 hrs above that is Tahr country
50 bunk hut at the flat is the downside
Hot pools partner/kid friendly is the upside
Put a bottle in ya pack for the chilly starlit night

I think you’ll find all those unballoted areas pretty busy at this time of the year.

Maybe, but ya never know if ya never go.....

It's the roar, when 89% of Kiwi population dists off their 7-08 , so it is to be expected.

Cheers for the replies, I have a spot in mind , mostly for the Hike an sights...
May hunt off the road somewhere pending how or where we get too an when.
