I was just talking to one of ammunition suppliers today and his suggestion was if you can’t get ammo for your gun now sell it quick and buy a 308 or 270.
My thoughts are 7mm 08 ammo is going to be very scarce for the next five years.

Get a 308 mate pretty much the same and factory ammo will be much easier to come by, suppressed they are really easy to shoot if recoil is of concern

The death of the 7-08 is greatly exaggerated.

    It’s not even a thing

There’s that many 7mm08 in the Kawekas I swear you could walk Northern birch on a Sunday arvo and find enough 7mm08 ammo dropped from GoPro bags to last you until the next weekend

It's definitely not dead and it is a good caliber but for guys that shoot factory ammo times are getting tough

As a fellow owner of both, I can testify that these are both utterly useless chamberings, have seen 7mm bullets bounce off deer whilst all 6.5mm ones will go through 8 inches of steel and be good fo 1/4 MOA to 2km.

Of course 7mm will become good again when Hornady comes out with the 7mm PRC...

Or just buy a 7x57 and look around and stock up on 4 or 5 boxes and you will be set for years.
