    You can be poisoned by lead in states other than a gas. We had a dog that had lead poisoning from drinking water with a lead compound dissolved in it.

    He was acting very confused and trotting around aimlessly making a low howling sound.

    Vet gave him a shot of EDTA and he came right within a few minutes
