Thats cool. Be on the edge of the big gully to the east on first light. 300 odd yards from the tarns (s).Glass (looking through your binos) for at least an hour or more. You will see where you can go to change the angles and the area you are glassing. Then start moving up hill glassing down into the creek and its head waters until the high point, and continue along the main ridge , now glasssing down towards the main river. Drop down on the river side a bit, but not too much and work your way around to the Rangi hut junction. You will sort it. Take your time. Keep off the ridge tops and look until your eyes hang out. There are plenty of good areas up there that you will suss, but thats a basic guide.
