Worth noting that the moa comparison is being made between low estimate moa numbers and the peak density numbers of deer. Personally I feel this is Dis engenuous. They have peak numbers of deer set at 50 animals per km2. There isn't anywhere you will find densities even close to this in nz outside of deer farms
