Had a kershaw, lost it, now I have another one coming thanks to HandH, also have lost a puma, Bahco, numerous green rivers and have ended up using a Swiss army pocket knife on more than one occasion.
Mercator or the sheffield clone is a good standby.

Full sized Ka-Bar when pig hunting for the non slip handle, full tang blade, hand guard on knife and a little extra length if sticking from behind.

Mora Kansbol with multi-mount for everything else. Super sharp stainless steel blade which is easy to touch up if required. Ok handle with some non slip aspect. Mainly chosen for cross mounting whilst culling.

Generally always have a leatherman on me too, can do everything with that too if necessary.

Velocity is thrilling, but diameter does the real killing.

4 inches fixed or folding. I used to carry a 6.5 inch Svord bowie when I was pig hunting, good for sticking pigs but it's way too big for general hunting use.

4" blade fixed is my go to. Its actually a budget fake Buck from Ali but holds an edge quite nicely.

Yeah these journalists must have watched Rambo when he said he used his knife for hunting.
    Cop: Hunting what?
    Rambo: (looks menacing) Name it

Sigh... We are surrounded by morons

Enter the mighty Bahco, might not have that nice timber grain handle, beautiful Damascus steel, for less than $20 it’s a great knife, loose it you won’t be crying into that beer

Varies depending on what I am taking...

Dozier folder - 3 inch blade
Fixed - average around 4 to 4.5 inch
    Filleting / boning knife - 6 inches
