Bit of a character head happy to hang it on the shed wall.
Shot this tonight been shot in lower leg id say in the last 48hrs. you can see shot in first photo, 2nd cut open

shot or war injury ? .

you can see in first picture the hole in lower leg. i cut it open and its smashed to bits, been shot. Shot come from behind animal and no real angel to penetrate animal

Tipped over a 12 pointer and his girl friend on Tuesday morning.I interrupted her catch me if you can.He was a old stag with a smallish head set.

There going off in Te Urewera. Got this guy this morning, scrubby head but the most exciting hunt I’ve ever had.
Was having a standoff with him 40 metres away. He would answer every roar but wasn’t moving. Another stag further up the gully started up and you could hear him getting closer, eventually he came in. The first stag had a go at him, right in front of me. He chased him past me at about 5 metres.
I shot the first stag at 5 metres while he was roaring at the other one. Epic!!
One of those moments you wished you had a mate there to share the moment with.

Nice easy paddock stag this evening for my mate, he was stoked. Bit of easy dog tucker too

This old stag was chasing his gf last Tuesday morning stillman 308 put a end to their love story.

His final resting place.
