Nice. Good spread on him. Let us know what the length and spread is if you get the chance to put a tape on him.

Nice Sika stag, unofficial score 197DS, shame about the trey tines being broken, would've bumped it into the 200's. Still happy, as it's my best to date.

@Micky Duck you definitely need some practice on the scalping front……..your ment to take the hair off the top of the head:wtfsmilie::XD:
yeah yeah...its waiting to become maggoty, then will sit in big bucket of soil for 6 mths (on shed roof AWAY from dogs)..not huge fan of boiling out...dont know why, just the way Ive always dont it.

Been working my arse off to try get this guy, he’s a bit younger than I thought he was but ohwell. Steep bluffy and down right dodgy to get into a shooting position, plus get to him and get out with the head and some meat. Had seen him regularly from 1.5 km away but after spooking him once, running out of daylight and hesitating over the amount of distance to cover let alone the sheer steepness and c@&$ty type of ground it is, finally got him. I though africa was the arsehole of the world, turns out this stag was happily living in it 😂
@Micky Duck sorry I did see this earlier. Do you want me to clean that up for you?
thanks for offer bud...but will leave it be.... been salted with wigglers, antlers wrapped in plastic bags and in bucket of soil on woodshed roof....
Got myself a fallow buck in the weekend out in King country (private land). I don't have much experience with these animals so not sure how old it is... anyone care to comment?
He definitely felt like big boy while dragging him down the hill. Thankfully we could use the winch through a tree to hang him. My back will thank me for that.

Came across this wee fella this afternoon. Thank god for quad bike winches. Managed to get the bike to it and used the winch to hoist it for dressing out.

Fallow buck I got back in July on a hunt with one of my boys. Spotted from boat with binos about 1km away, climbed a tree to get up a drop off and into bush, sneaked in to 150m, taken with 223 55 grain. Public land, best I've seen not on private block and currently with taxidermist. The boy was stoked to be part of the hunt
3 good fallow this year

While you guys went to the polls I went for a morning stalk. Ohoo don’t worry I threw in my overseas vote yesterday
Anyway manges to get this one. Went 28kgs. Good stalk thought he had me busted but gave him a little croak and he came back tiptoeing through the trees. It’s right on the start of their rut here. First cool night last night. Been very warm. But the temperatures are dropping way down from 13 at night to first frost tonight.
Good one to take out with the split palms.
