There is no evidence of deer being anywhere near a nest since the incident in 2013 so your comment appears to be speculation. You will note that DOC already have black backed gulls in sight as predators to go with the other known predator being hawks.
Numbers are from someone that would know, speculation on my part from hearing the story first hand, didnt ask about dates that it happened
