Thread: 11" 7mm08 Remington(Cause why not?!)

Saw a chassis (MDT LSS) pop up on trademe cheap, so bought it without a rifle to go into it. Luckily the seller also had a mint Remington 700 in 7mm08 for sale aswell, so picked that up at the same time. Chassis had been cerakoted by @BigEarl69 in an awesome green colour, and the rifle in a dark grey. Well me being a bit of a madman thought it looked too long, so off it went to my local smith for a "quick trim". Decided to go down to minimum legal OAL solely because it looks cool. And here we have the nearly finished product!



Currently fitted with a Luth AR Chubby grip, Sonic 45 compact suppressor, Harris bipod and an Element HDLR 2-16x50. Also currently has a Luth AR buttstock, but that is being replaced with a proper MDT SCS lite stock. Overall I'm bloody happy how it turned out, extremely compact, light and pointible. Will it have the legs to hit something at 500-800m like the factory 21" barrel might have? Probably not. Will it be awesome to shoot at the range for a laugh(and fireballs with the can off) and still be able to knock over a sambar at 100-200m? Most definitely!! Looking forward to trying out some different rounds and see what it likes!
