    1600-B ballistic function

    For those of you using the Leica 1600-B do you use the ballistic function?

    The ballistic curve that ‘best matches’ the measured trajectory of my 6.5x55 deviates by approximately 2-3 MOA past 300m.

    I haven’t had a chance to verify it in the field but I’m interested in your experiences using the ballistic function. Or do you prefer to use a validated drop chart?

    Validated drop chart mate, and switch it to read out the TBR after actual reading is displayed. Tho the ballistic function was quite close to my 300wsm I was always more confident using a proven drop chart.

    I’m thinking this is the answer. It would be good if you can customise the curve and adjust for scope height etc.
