How much quieter than a 223 or 204 would it actually be? Can't imagine that much real difference if comparing like for like wrt suppressors etc.

It uses like 8 grains of powder, and it's a tiny little projectile. 1/3 the powder, 1/3 the weight of the projectile.
It'll be quiet.
Quentin (45 South) has one built on a Ruger 77/22 Hornet. Raves about it, trying to convince me I need one, he just wants brass, projectiles and powder sales from me!His has a big Zigilani supressor on it, 20 inch barrel, said its quieter than his supressed 17HMR...
If it's not a first round hit you need to practice more

Is the new 17 hornet just the 17 AI hornet?
how much different is it from 17 Remington - and that's a factory round already

Completely different, hornet is much smaller, less than half the powder...

Much the same as the Hornet AI, but has some subtle differences (I don't know off hand what they are)

17 hornet is rimmed

^^^ Answer right there, cheers Toby. Yep, almost one and the same as the AI, rim and all...

How far would it knock a goat over out too do you think?

Wouldn't be much better than a 17hmr I would think... Very poor projectile construction for goats imo...

That thing so devastate them with head shots. I wouldn't want to be hit in the head at 200m with it any way,
