At some point I'll go down that track. I would prefer .458 in a bolt action. AR can't handle higher pressure. Just something a little different

You know that game where you throw something and people use a broom and get it into a circle. That idea gave me the idea of playing that without the broom guys and using a gun to throw yourself.
Haha curling? That would be awesome fun with high powered rifles
And you'd have different cals depending on how far you need to go
you guys crack me up:cool:
Be like golf, driver (50cal) to tee off, putter (223) for close to the hole. Cut some holes in the ice for water hazards.
Snow for sand pit.
I have an article in one of my mags, i'll see if i can find it, about a rifle built on what effectively was a cut down .458WM, was very handy apparently at launching 500gr pills subsonic or stoked up to 1900fps.
Upside was brass could be made from pretty much any belted magnum case.
I have brass & dies , but never , got around to building a rifle yet , you may also , want to consider a easier option , use a belted mag case & cut down to 1.5-2 inches , and use in a short action rifle .
Just watch your twist rate for the bullets & speeds you want to run , and yes its not going to be as quite as smaller bores , as you need a large hole at the end of any suppressor .
