Stick a suppressor on a .308 and you've got stuff all recoil and a deer slayer par excellence. Some of the guys around my neck of the woods think that a 7mm/08 is a little light. Then, the deer tend to be on the large size.

Last night at the D.A. measure up night. Gamehunter and JP doing a great job with the tape.

This one had a Douglas score of 294

yeah, I got 6.5's in x55 and a x284. .. goes bang and kills stuff.

some may say the 260 because of the amount of available brass that can be necked down, but 6.5x55 has pretty cheap lapua brass probably only matched by the 308 and 7.62/39

both the t3 and howas are decent rifles id happily own either if they were given to me again.

I have the howa 1500 in 6.5x55. The Hogue overmold stock is pretty average - very soft foreend. Other than that no complaints.
