Just a question, nobody wants to re-chamber tikkas, due to hardness etc....., so does that mean that they also stand up better to throat erosion for hot loads etc.. ?
Please excuse spelling, as finger speed is sometimes behind brain spped........ Or maybe the other wayy.....

Not necessarily, I asked the same question & was told the metal is hard & kinda "flaky" (which makes it a bitch to ream) this means bits can possibly flake off the lands & bore.

I see that these are made in 6.5PRC. Maybe a cheaper way of getting into one?

The late Robbie Tiffen told me that SAKO/TIKKA use more Sulphur in their barrels and if you strike a seam of it within the barrel the metal will gall your tooling and 'flake' off like in a mine...

6.5x55AI 147 ELDM out of a 28inch criterion 3048fps - by changing the seating depth from 85 thou to 15 thou I get 3085fps. And this isn't at max pressure.
RL23 is the powder im using. 3000fps was the goal and im past that from the start really.

Does it mean that it might not do a good job on the chamber or will damage tools?

@muzr257 I think I need pics and more info on said firearm......

I’m at 2790 with 140 amaxs with the Swede and it is a real tight group, consistent and I can actually hit what I want to. The issue is, I only have a few hundred amaxs left.... and I have a itch for something new......
