Build your own. It's the best way to know the firearm. It's easy and those links above will have what you need to do it. And you get to make it to your specs. I'm an engineering numpty and I made ARs in 300Blk and 223 last winter. They work fantastically. Happy to advise and loan specialised tools.

He has 4 volumes on the AR15, 2 on gunsmithing and another on 'customising'... all a bloody good read and he does the testing himself. Arguably the US authority on the AR15...

Just because someone shoots an AR doesn't necessarily mean they know anything more than what google tells them about them.

Also recommend heading to the range with @Dr. Watson.
I have them all on Kindle well worth it if a little old now.

I bought a stag model 4 rifle 18months ago and its a hoot, I love it.

Rifles have 20inch barrels and are very "gentle" to shoot. M4 carbines are what the "leetz" have but are a bit rougher in firing IMHO but as they are shorter they are handier in a house to house fight, but I don't live in that sort of neighbourhood.

    ;]

Take care with buying mags, the stag mags I have are very good, brownells mags, not very I just binned one it keeps jamming I am down to 3 out of the 8. I have a plastic speers? 7 round (I cant recall) but one time I wacked it in a bit hard and it kept going in and jammed up the gun good, steel mags have never done that.
