    The mountain bipod (more expensive unit that is in stock at the moment) will give you a higher position than the backcountry model, as well as being able to get lower by doing the splits, makes it way more adjustable

    I think most bipods are too low unless you are a 'gonger' and range shooting prone. Tried those low ones and I could never get over the grass. A mate has the tall Harris and it is very useful as there is hardly ever a situation that he cant use it - sitting, prone, under a bank etc. I bought one off here 24" and have made a QD mount for the fore-end tip similar to the Blaser type but internal

    Yes I realise that not sure if I can stretch the budget that far though, the owner was in at my work buying more building materials tonight as I know he is extending the workshop at the moment.
