What kind of use?? An awful varmint style rifle requires a different optic to a sweet carbine

Killing mainly deer and goats at close to mid range,
Was just wondering if theses funny scopes bring something to the party on the Ar platforms for general use, as opposed to say a normal scope.
No idea that's why I'm asking.

One of the 6x ACOG's would be cool, but shit, you may as well buy a nice dialler for that money. A vortex pst 1-4 or 2.5-10 would be money better spent on that rifle. I would buy the Burris sights if they had a TA01 type reticle available.

I have 4 .223's a 1-5 Burris on one rifle, great for 0-few hundy yards. Use it on my 3 gun rifle (most likely the same rifle I would take hunting if I got off my arse)

Also have a NXS on another just cause I like paper punching and varmint shooting and cause i can (but overkill really). Another has a VX3 and another has open sights.

All bases covered, really most useful would depend on your primary use

Hell, I just use a Leupold VX2 3-9x40 on my AR for that sort of purpose.

I've got a shitty Burris Fullfield 3-9 on my Colt upper at the moment, doesn't look cool but it works. I won a 500m service rifle match with it so I guess that's saying something.
