    When you torque down the action screws the mag box should still be free to move (slightly). Put your finger or screw driver in and give it a push or pull - you'll feel or see it move. If it does not move at all then its almost certainly trapped and binding, the action is bearing on the mag box edges rather than on your bedding pillars & bedding compound. Hence the fliers. Easy fixed with a file to remove 1 - 2 mm off the mag box height = sides/ends. If its been binding you'll also probably see slight rub marks on action and mag box edges.

    Cheers I had a look and that’s not the case here. The only high part of this mag box is the back and as per the photo there’s daylight between mag box and receiver. If could just be the poor bedding job I might need to do it again properly with Nathan’s kit. If I can be arsed, it’s quite the faff
