Have to be JW15s. Had a number of them and polished up heaps for other people. Almost all sub 0.5" at 50m. Chop barrels to 16" and polish up action/trigger to bring out the Brno DNA and they are remarkable little hunters. $100-150 at times.
Also picked up quite a few marlin 22s for bugger all - most of them laser sharp.

Stirling mod 20 b/a .22mag. My brother gave it to me. Killed heaps of bunnies. Awesome wee shooter!

Every T3 I Ve ever owned and some have been stunning.

I believe the thread was cheap rifles not: I own this many Tikkas(with your hands between your legs moving) and they all go bang. Jesus Christ I don't think a 1300 dollar rifle quite meets the finer points of ;"cheap rifle".

I've bought a few cheap rifles and found out they were cheap for a reason.
put it this way none I have kept!

I found an old Lithgow model 12 .22 repeater, in a farmers shed and I asked the farmer what he used it for.
He said I could have it for a $, done deal said I. It had the bolt arm braised on after it fell out of his ute, so him and his son brass welded the handle back onto the bolt.
It was the most accurate rifle that I have ever owned. Sorry to have lost it on one of my many moves interstate.

I was given a JW15a that seems to shoot everything pretty well. I bought a Marlin X7 of trade me for around $400 from memory that with a little work is shooting very well. No 1/2 inch tack driver but very reliable and consistent - all the old man needs.
My younger owned a Remington 770 for a while - that thing was incredibly..... shit!

Got a Krico B/A from a friend for a boned out deer, it shoots pretty good, Yes those JW 15 rifles are certainly good shooters, mine was a $100 also it has shot many thousands of pest animals over the years only thing replaced is the extractor.

Marlin 917 -V was $500 including a Red field scope.
Shoots little pin point lazers as far as I can hold over.

Em332, for the price they were. Such a nice .22
I see GC now trying to sell them for $700 second hand.

Bang for ya buck... A Stirling 15-shot, semi-auto .22lr that I bought off a mate for $100, complete with scope and suppressor. That was my first rifle waaaay back in the early '80's. It was accurate and not too fussy about which ammo you fed into it. I sold that rifle about 10 years later for $120 to fund the purchase of my most cherished smoke stick... a BRNO .222 Fox Mod Il. While it's not the cheapest rifle I've bought, HOLY MOTHER OF CHRISTMAS it's accurate!

Howa .223, half moa out the box. Was $749 new a few years ago from memory.
Second hand CZ452 was $450 from TM with 4-12 scope and hard case, puts cci target ammo through same ragged hole at 50m, have shot 2 perfect 100 point scores at deerstalkers f class.

My best is Walther smallbore rifle I was given. Stock was a bit rough but I fixed that up. Accuracy as expected
