You need to have hunted with one for a few years to appreciate them for what they are and offer, I reckon.
I won't use anything else since buying one yrs ago, that's fer sure.

Shes used to your little weapon, tell her you have a magnum and she might let you back inside. (The house)

Sort of, but the whole trigger/guard comes out with the mag, not really a practical design. Also spares probably cost $600 each.

Aside from optics. I have 3 and soon to be 4 calibre's that all shoot better than I can, in one package, that has cost me less than 8k over 12 or so yrs.
No matter what barrel I have on, the ergos are pretty much the same.

Considering I would spend almost a 1/4 of that a year, on clay ammo I think it's good value.

The price of the base R93 isn't terrible really. It's just the peripherals that make me choke. On the stock, I don't remember them being awfully heavy to begin with?

Remember a Blaser stock is not a stock as such like a 700 or Sako. It is the platform for the entire system and has a lot more components installed. The bolt rail guides, the barrel block and trigger assay are considered as part of the stock. Do you get another trigger with the Christiansen Dave or do you need to swap out yours?

Less than 8 k over 12 years is hell cheap, pick any two rifles in my gunroom and 8k wont cover it, so to have 4 calibres/chamberings is very versatile and cost effective.

    So blasers are cheap

It would be one gripe I have with them.
They are a tad heavy for their size.
My one seems to be anyway.

That makes sense. I've never disassembled one.

My old Offroad is pretty light and much stiffer than the Professional. I did bed a big ali block in the front for a front stud to screw into as well.

Be cool to see it in the flesh then. I wonder if they use a OEM trigger or a Bix n Andy one?
