    Depends on what model scope you're looking at. The S&B's have quite a lot of tunnelling at low magnifications. Whereas something like your Swaro Z6's or Z8's have incredibly forgiving eye boxes with no tunneling whatsoever. This was perhaps exaggerated by switching to a S&B after having used Swaros for a while.

    So a higher zoom ratio can either be a 'nice to have'...or a disappointment. Lol

    A red dot/holo sight + scope combo sounds like a practical option. But there's no way in hell I'd be running that on a traditional hunting rifle. Would look far too tacticool, and less is more when you're in the field.

    I agree it feels tacticool. I think if they make the iron sight or red-dot sight as a built-in part of the scope itself it would look less weird.

    80 years ago some hunter may tell you that putting a scope on a hunting rifle was too tacticool (whatever the equivalent work was back then)
