Does anyone have a Jaeger AP66 handy?

    hey all,

I'm looking for someone else who owns one of these fun German 22LR rifles.
I've got one I'm working on but the ejector component is broken and I need to see a functional one to fabricate a replacement so I just need some good, specific photos.

    Cheers!

hehhe, it's moulded directly into the alloy housing, that's a massive design failure right there, it's a very weak point and it's not even something you can take out and replace!
I think I'm going to have to replace the missing metal with weld and hand file the shape back into it, hooray for it being aluminium, i guess

Bit hard to tell from the pics, but could you cut a slot in the action and insert a steel? one fixed from the outside?
I've fixed some tragic and near impossible problems on some pretty crappy guns before by thinking 'outside the box'

a man after my own heart that's exactly what I think I'll do.

I also think that's specifically how they should have done it in the factory

Let us know how it works out. Not a German make, Italian - responsible for some or the best and worst engineering ever!
