First baffle is machined to have just a lip not a full baffle, press in a stainless disk with an hole and some return to keep it stable

as in your first baffle has this but thinner + lighter poked up the guts (with a hole for the bullet...)

sorted for a few grams and a bit more cost

would be potential for bimetallic corrosion to be as much of a problem as the gas erosion though? dunno

coat all the metal and corrosion is less of a problem

the alu baffles in my Roedale don't appear to be corroding at all after 1k+ rounds and a lot of that pretty fast. All hard anodized. Also it's quieter than fullsize gunworks etc.

Like Sonic suppressors. But that would change the design of my baffles and make the suppressor less effective.

I thought your first one or two baffles were steel?

I swap them in and out, but have shot a lot with the alloy ones and no real sign of wear to the metal, anodizing is about gone now

Mine are hard anodized, the one I used for testing in my 30-06 has had 500 rounds through it and showing bugger all wear. its only the first baffle thats showing a little wear. They were designed for hunting rifles not for range or rapid fire, not to say you cant use them for that but they wont last as long. I do have duralium suppressors with stainless steel internals suited to just that.

1000 round lifespan for a super light bit of kit on a hunting rifle = more than enough I recon

Hmmm, one of these modular jobs might be the go for TimeRiders 243. I take it that they still reduce recoil a fair bit. How do they compare with the recoil reduction of the duralium over barrel versions?
There are only three types of people in this world. Those that can count, and those that can't!

GM, they are ridiculously light, the rimfire one on my 795 is 80g with all 4 baffles

if it is just for hunting, not lots and lots of range shooting, it might be worth a go.

even his "standard weight" cans are nice and light, I have a 30cal centerfire one and it is about 357g

nice guy to do business with

hi dpt have been thinking about a moduer muzzle can
if i get a 30cal han had all my rifles up to that threaded would i be right in sayingi could use the same can for all of them??

    i currently have
    223
    6mm rem
    6.5x55
    7.62x39
and thinking of a 7mm-08 soon

all the barrels are driffent dia's so muzzle forward would be the only way to go

Yes, all suppressors reduce recoil. about the same as the duralium suppressors.
    Thanks

Correct, one suppressor for all of those, but you can use an over barrel, you just need a different rear bush for each barrel.
    Thanks

I just purchased one of DPT's 4 baffle overbarrel suppressors for my .260AI barrel and have to say I am very happy with it.

I am not the best to comment on noise reduction as I am pretty buggered in one ear and still wear hearing protection with the supp on.
In saying that, I think the report reduction is as good as any other supp I have used. A few others that have heard it in action also commented on how it was pretty good.
It is very light and I only get 3/4 to an inch vertical shift with it off.
I wrapped that stretchy cam tape around it and I dont get any concerning noise off it, from firing or hitting scrub.
I can hunt without it fitted and if a longer shot presents it self I can screw it on and use it with out worrying about any major POI shift. (Not every barrel will be the same)
Have not checked its internals yet but I have only fired 30 odd rounds through it.

If it lasts 1000+ rnds I will be happy.
