    Check out the model no and make sure its not a 710 model .it look like it

    Ask him for a price without the scope and get some thing reasonable. dont forget to haggle. The price on the tag is always negotiable..

    First rifle. Rem 700 7-08

    Hey guys, I bought it! Bore looked good - should definitely haggles a bit more but ended up buying more things, gun bag, cleaning kit, ammo etc

    I pick it up tomorrow cause I somehow forgot to bring my vouchers in! Didn't check if it was a 710 as didn't see these recent posts until now.

    Thanks for all the advice tho

    Now hopefully the weather will hold off and I'll be able to test out how it shoots on the weekend!

    Iv just been sent a fixed price offer for one I was looking at on trade me - says it's had 60 rounds through it. $725

    Hey guys just letting you know I finally managed to put a few rounds through. Got some good groupings and it seems to be sighted in fairly well now. It's all about getting my first animal from here on in!

    Good on ya mate those remmy 700's are nice to shoot I just bought my first remmy 700 last week but it is in .270 (I could not get one in 7mm08 in my budget) but still stoked with it bugger all felt recoil I put a Bushnell trophy XLT with DOA600 reticle on mine.

    Yeah im pretty happy with it! I only got the cheapo 2nd hand combo scope on this but when I get the $$ to upgrade I will!
