The range of what we think and do is limited by what we fail to notice. And because we fail to notice that we fail to notice, there is little we can do to change; until we notice how failing to notice shapes our thoughts and deeds

A quick google of r8 professional weights comes up with consistent weights of 7.2 pounds by people who have purchased them with 30 cal barrels.

It's still lighter than your sako VC
My weight is accurate I'm not arguing on the web about it, the stocks/action/fluting can see the same models vary up to 3 pounds.
I'm not sure the cal makes any difference I will weigh some barrels at some stage.

I find only using half of the barrel helps keep the weight down
