Sounds like that first gun smith got the cogs all wrong on the reassembly.
Easy to do. I've had the trigger reworked on mine. The Gunmaker did his time four years at Purdys
So knows what he's doing. Not like some of the butchers I've seen in nz that call them selves smith
If you want to know the age of your BLR look at the serial number. See where the letter is mine is K73 so made in 1973
There will be some numbers before that.
