Very cool. What issues did you have getting it into a stock ? Recoil lug ? A couple of the SMS actions I've seen have had pretty beefy recoil lugs.

Honestly mate, it was due meat damage, so the short barrel, slow heavy pills, will be a 200-300 yard gun max and mostly 50-100 99% of the time... went for the 338 due to Barnard only doing the 308 bolt face on the SMS, I just wanted to build a KIWI made rifle to support our local economy and other than the scope and trigger I've managed that. Nothing fancy, but it's got to a point that I'm happy with it - especially with a constrained budget!
Tikka T3x Superlight in 308, in a B&C stock. Burris Fullfield IV 3-12x44. DPT over barrel suppressor. Now just looking forward to taking it out some more!
