    Gunsmith in Auckland

    Hi guys
I want to get my barrel shortened and threaded now that I’m going to be running my suppressor more. Has anyone got any experience with gun smiths or machinists happy to work on fire arms in Auckland ?

    Thanks.

Are they doing it on site or sourcing it out and "clipping the ticket".

    Yes, they are good,
Pick your time before you go there or clear your schedule.

I went there twice at the wrong time,
had to walk away with nothing because the queue was just too long for me.

Not done on site and I don't know if Reloaders clips the ticket.
But, agree with other comments here that the gunsmith is good based on a couple of small jobs I had done ( but several years ago now ). Was reasonably priced I thought.

Reloaders are good, so is Alan Reid.
Based on the North Shore, AB Reid Engineering
He’s done s couple of rifles for me.
    Happy to recommend both.
    ishoot10s and BenTheBuilder like this.
He nui to ngaromanga, he iti to putanga.

You depart with mighty boasts, but you come back having done little.
Sounds like a typical hunting trip !

    The latter
However the guy they use is extremely good and well priced
It’s still cheaper than most other options even with the “clipped” ticket as you put it….

Yeah Rambo put me onto the guy who does it for reloaders. Exceptional work, could hardly tell there was a thread cap on unless you really looked at it.
Think AB reid did one for me years ago
