    Gunworks re barreling experience

    Hi folks.

So often you hear of bad experiences, however I thought I'd share my experience of late with Gunworks.

As many will know I've had to re barrel my 284.

Gunworks had a Shillen select match grade 28" blank, 7mm 1 in 8 twist.

I gave the team there a bell.

    Got it put aside.

Anyway I got my rem 700 sent away on the courier the Wednesday before last.
I sent it through Custom guns invercargill( huge thanks to Mac.)

It arrived on Friday morning at gunworks.

They started the process Monday morning.

Every single step of the process I was updated what they'd done and why, from cutting the barrel blank to length, fluting, chambering etc.

Amanda and Renell couldn't have done any better if they tried with their communication and customer service.

From Monday to Friday morning it was done.

I should have it back in my greasy Mits on Friday when I get down to Invercargill to pick it up from custom guns.

Between Custom guns and gunworks I am super happy with the service of both.

    Would happily recommend either.

Photos to follow when I pick it up and then load development and re mounting the vx6 after being sent for warranty which arrived home on Wednesday.

Gunworks are in short, bloody brilliant. Even when you find a problem, it isn't really a problem for some reason!

    Couldn't agree more.

    The team there are brilliant.

The late Robbie would be very proud of his business

Only downside is that they reside in the wrong island.

He nui to ngaromanga, he iti to putanga.

You depart with mighty boasts, but you come back having done little.
Sounds like a typical hunting trip !

Yes. Hate the bastards - the pox of a thousand camels on all of the package destroying (if not outright losing) entirety of their species. For what you pay for their services the least they could do is deliver the packages on time, undamaged and where you said to deliver it!

    Update.

Gunworks sent the rifle yesterday morning

It arrived at Custom guns which I was notified of immediately on both ends.

    Outstanding service.

Got a mate picking it up so I'll have it in my Mits in a hour or so.

You're both wrong. Gunworks is in the best bit of the best island.

Not far from the Handloaders Range so one can pop in & visit on the way to or the way from the range. Brilliant.

They've looked after me for a long time. Great people & company.

Great seeing a positive post. Thanks for that. I outsource some of my work to the Gunworks crew ever now and again, never had any complaints.

    Amanda and crew are tops.
