Received the Stock on Friday, put the old CMC Mountaineer/Howa 1500 .223 barreled action into it .
Shot it / sighted it in on Saturday and it shot it’s usual inch groups at 100m with factory Fiocchi 60gn ammo ( I purchased this recently , it’s done a lot work and it’s barrel is far from pristine ) .
It will need bedding to maximise its true potential, but I’m holding off doing that because I think I’ll buy a new Stainless Howa .223 and put the stock on that , so I’ll get it bedded when that happens.
I’m very happy with the Stock and it’s transformed the rifle, the weight saving is very noticeable and appreciated.
All I’d change is to lengthen the stock by a 1/2 inch and it’s dialed.
One other thing to note , the front of the comb has a small slot in it to allow the bolt to come back far enough to be removed this is because the comb is higher than a standard stock .
I had to file that slot a fraction deeper because the bolt wasn’t clearing it , maybe when you bed these stocks the action would be raised slightly, but it is something to be aware of .
