    Howa Superlite Magazines

So in the interests of science and cause I'm a nosey bastard we took a cobbers Superlite out of its stock to see what they'd done with the magazine inlet in the action . . . . I was wondering if it might accept an AICS mag. Well the answer to that was NO, the action rails are a wee bit narrower than the "standard" action and there is no way an AICS is gonna do it.

Then after I got home I recalled I had one of the magazines sold as after market conversions for Howa 1500s (it replaced the hinged Floorplan for a detachable mag) and anyhoo - it's a wee bit narrower than an AICS.

So could someone measure their superlite mag for outside dimensions of length and width - I'm very curious to see if anything else fits a superlite!

So are you saying a 1500 short action floor plate will fit the superlite ?

No.. different hole spacing. The detachable short action mag will fit far enough into a superlight action to feed rounds I'd what I was implying
