    importing from overseas and cabelas

There are cheap deals in the states for all sorts of stuff but often they need a US mail address. Is there a company that will send on to NZ? Also I see Cabelas is advertising in NZ. Do they have an NZ shop or will they post to NZ?

And don't forget about the GST, duty and any biosecurity fee they decide to charge on it entering NZ.
Try keep and it under $400 and you might slip under the customs radar.

Yeah my Miss's is off to the states in a few weeks and I was planning on getting her to mule a few items over but don't want to set her up, she doesn't have a firearms licence.
Can she bring brass and projectiles over with her and maybe some reloading components. Whats the go with law business? Cheers.

Have purchased a lot of bits and bobs from cabelas, largest item was Tipton gun vice, all arrived within a week, and it will say when ordering if they can ship outside the states or not.
Keep the orders under $400 NZD

I have brought a fair bit from Cabelas over time. Always a good experience.

NZpost now offer such a US adress service.

    Just watch out for,

    a) US customs, they can can your "export" and you lose it, barrels for instance need an export permit I think and if there isnt one that is $400US.
    b) I have brought in maybe $300NZ of small parts for my Enfield in the last few months. Watch out for being caught by NZ customs. The limit is $400NZ I think but Ive heard of ppl being "caught" for much less....YMMV.

Didnt someone in here say the US customs confiscated his once used brass? might be safer to just not bother....unless you want a new miss's....

Hmmmm if I loose her I won't be able to afford any more toys? Tough call.

Customs limit is $367 including the cost of shipping, they include their $33 customs fee as part of the complete cost. Think thats the right figure from memory. Generally if the company insures it for less than the customs limit it can make it through but if it gets lost your screwed.

old thread I know , .... I tried to use the post shop address in the states for a range bag frim midway , ... when it was still in a "hold " pattern , I rang them and they said they will not ship to a freight forwarding address as the ITAR rules forbid their products leaving the country .... so I ran nz post and they said they are aware of about 30 companies so far that have flagged that address as Name: 20140306_153330.jpg
