Info wanted on Plum brand rifle scopes

Any of you guys out there know anything about Plum brand rifle scopes? I have a mates one here that he thinks he's owned for 40 - 50 years but knows nothing about.
Internet searches just find Americans confused about how to spell plumb.
It's marked: Plum. 4 x 32 Nitrogen filled. Fully coated optics. Image moving. No 28980.
No indication of where it was manufactured.
Reticle is a tapered post with a fine horizontal cross hair.
    Any info/ theories appreciated. Cheers

Plum was a Japanese optic company that made binoculars, opera glasses, telescopes and rifle scopes and more maybe.
They may have been involved in manufacture of sniper scopes ww2 under a different name. Seen just a few over the years, some marked 'plum bisley' or just bisley. Typical Japanese high quality optics of the time. Probably a great little scope.

the writing looks VERY similar to what the early Japanese tasco n nikko stirlings had, even the way its written and the colour is the same
should last forever on a .22lr pity we dont see the same build quality for similar price bracket these days.
    75/15/10 black powder matters
