[QUOTE=sneeze;1063173]Mauser M201 22LR. Front locking action.
Very nice @sneeze. I’m a 201 fan as well. Full sized rifle and beautifully made. Here’s mine alone side my Dakota M10.

Sneeze, thanks for the images. some nice design and engineering their. A really nice piece.
Very nice - what does it shoot like - repeatably?
I haven't put the effort in to say definitively . During ammo testing it would drop into the .3s with elly match and RWS supersonic HP, the odd .2 . I shoot mostly cci subs for rabbits etc and it can put 5 into .3 ish but not always. Shooting over the labradar is telling, the cci has horrible ES , can be upwards of 90fps where as the elly match is very good.
Just a slopy retrobate
can someone please post up photo of bruno model 2 .22lr bolt PLEASE.....I believe its almost identicle to norinco but not 100% sure on this... need to see rear end top view in particular..thankyou.
That's very good shooting too from the Mauser - and the man behind it! A keeper ..
I have a couple of Gevarm rifles, an E1 rough takedown but the other E3 is in pretty good shape and is a straight shooter.
Occasionally it’ll have FTE but is otherwise reliable. Pulled it out the other day and forgot it fires from the open bolt which perplexed me for some time.
This little semi has sent many a possum to the marsupial afterlife.
I wonder if anyone has any of the rare 25 round mags that didn’t end up in the crusher.

I would rather be shot out of a cannon, than squeezed out of a tube.

The lock time with the open bolt firing takes some getting used to - mine has a shorter barrel and suppressor is weird to fire using subs, it seems as if the bolt slamming forwards is knocking the bullet out of the rifle - ‘clunk’ then ‘whump’ when bullet hits.
One negative with that design Is using a scope sight - too easy for point of impact to change depending on pressure on fore-end.
‘Many of my bullets have died in vain’
From memory the Mauser 201 and Voere 2000 were both chambered in 22 WMR as well as 22 LR which may explain the longer bolt throw length.
Here’s one
Norinco jw11 (jw15 actioned heavy barrel )
Only made one year (1981)
Apparently they are quite rare sadly I didn’t know that now it looks like this (14 inch)
it wasn’t in good condition wood wise
Had to do a few mods to solid it up for use
It’s very accurate
Great thread. I started out with an old Stirling bolt
action and moved on a CZ Luxe, traded into a very fine 94/22 which wont be going anywhere. Lever actions rimfires are excellent fun and my passion. Like having a practice rifle for my 94 3030. Need a skinner rimfire site if anyone has one gathering dust?
I also run old Marlin 60 modified to meet the times. I really like this old shooter alot. My young fulla is starting out on JW15, shorted to 16 with a bit of expert advice from you Mudgrips and help from good bugger on the forum here. I have my sights set on lithgow LA101.at some stage. Lol.
I am enjoying the post, some interesting .22s.
Has anyone been playing or has the newer CZ 512 Tactical in 22Lr or mag.
Would like to know the performance good or bad.
