I'll answer the lazer once I have a shipment.
Then I could send you one to try, if you can wait.
    A small unit runs 18650.
I prefer not to have a large torch hanging off the rifle.
I see a need for a compacted well priced lazer.
The one I have has a 940nm or 850nm pill easy to change out.
I haven't really sorted the low profile adjustable mount at a good price yet.

It has three settings low medium high,it is focusable. That is you can narrow down the beam.

Those cross hairs are from a Paard unit by the looks of things.

I screenshot it off footage taken with Sytong ht 66 clipped on to a Burris scope. Crosshair is a bit blurry because I quickly turned the focus to try get clearer footage.

    007 pics

Here's a couple of pictures, the IR isnt pulled out that's why the distance shot is darker and I noticed the Pard wasn't set central.
I had movement with the early tasco scope and in the end it was replaced.
The cat is picture is sort of the same setting. Probably not the best examples but no mistaking the cross hairs.

I have both Sytong and Pard products. What is out there that will extend the usable range of these products, where are they available and what sort of price range are they?
    Cheers!
Take a look at this one. https://owloptics.nz/product/irlb-laser-850nm/
The mate I shoot with uses one of these on a Pard 008. Shootable out to around 400m but most importantly the image closer in is far better than the built in IR. It can be focused from spotlight through to flood beam. Its expensive but is a quality piece of Kit that does exactly what it says on the box.

I have one of these torches in just the Red beam and in combination with binoculars I can view deer to 650 - 700 meters, dependant on weather conditions. Whilst I don't believe for a minute that the IR version will be able to do anything like that, a good throw out to 300 - 350 meters would be great, and anything beyond that would be a bonus.

    Cheers

Yeah over in the UK they are extremely popular but it appears that over here they are yet to become a commodity. Very few options and only one currently that appears to be considerably better than the stock standard ones they come with.
Definitely a market here once someone starts bringing in reasonably priced models that boost visibility and range.
Most people I personally know that are using night vision would invest in one. Some of them have already bought them in from the UK.

    IR torch

The English fellows have a few options.

I have this model at a better price.
If interested I have some of these units coming for mates樂
Plus a few 940nm pills coming as they change out easy if you want less glow.
They will be a sharp price if all goes well easily better than the UK. Of course it won't have the UK branding.
It will be first in first served with these.

Hmm, those models are using a laser which is meant to be way better than an LED. Convoy have only announced an LED version, so unsure whether it'll be good or not. If there's a big enough market I could look into laser modules, but this is all very unfamiliar territory for me. I've only ever looked through my Dad's thermal once, and that's as close as I've come to anything NV.

Fraser at Owl Optics will be able to guide me to what's decent, he comes out to the farm occasionally if there's pigs around. Using an LED in the L21B would be better than the Nitecore models though, but for cheap.

Planning on giving forum members a discount on new stock. All hunting torches are being modified at the factory now, so I can afford to drop pricing for you all. Not sure how I'll stop the coupon from spreading outside of the forum though, maybe require the NZHS username at checkout. This will be a trial for X months to see if my sales increase. I'll have to look at Facebook and Google ads as well, that seems to be what everyone with their own website is recommending.

This Covide situation is killing sales big time, might have to look at continuing as a hobby and get a job if these lockdowns continue.

Feel free to throw my name down for one with the 940nm module.
The bunnies are onto the red glow, and by the way they run, I suspect they know what's about to come.

    Reflected eye

I've had some talks in the way of pm with TBL.
I am going to test the lights that arrive before sending. To do that a couple of us are going to set up a field test at this stage out to 200+ maybe 300.this will be the bench mark for the others to be tested.
A rabbit is a small target at 300y.
I am working on a reflective eye for now, with maybe soft toys for shape or a rabbit on the night. .
Plus some live stock, even dog may have to be used as wallaby substitute.
I have a night lazer rangefinder that a picture of distance should be easy to get.
Any suggestions so we can cover the testing adequately.
Tested the eye on a low flood setting and it seems fine for the real testing and what distance can we get with that.
It seems a lot of trouble to go to but Iam interested myself to the range effectiveness.
There are obvious problems, the night being the main one! as NV don't like fog or misty nights.

    Reflective eye

This isn't the best and pictures aren't great freehand.
Just run a couple of shots, one of the eye in orange and a couple of beam. The reflective dot on the rabbit.
This is just to look at what it's capable of and I think it will be okay for the price..
The power poles are 6 in numbef from where I am.
But a better ter look when setup.
