    Leopold MK4

Just mounted a Leopold Mk4 onto my 308 Brno ZKK601.

    Looking sweet so far.

Bore sighted it and will zero it on the range tomorrow.

Question is what size Allen key is used to remove the grub screws on the elevation & windage turrets so I can zero the turrets once sighted in?

I tried a 1mm Allen Key that was too small and 2mm was too big and I don't have a 1.5mm Allen key .

Would this be metric or imperial?

    Any help would be appreciated

    Cheers
    Pete

Leupold = US = Imperial, they like to be different
We have stuff at work which has some of the parts manufactured in the US and the rest in Canada. Uses a mixture of both, Frustrating to say the least, just like chippies who use a mixture of Square, philips and slot drive screws in the same job
All those with dogs waiting no longer fear death. Those with many dogs waiting even welcome it in it's time.

Bound to be 2nd hand. Pete's too tight to buy new
    P38 and Neckshot like this.
The range of what we think and do is limited by what we fail to notice. And because we fail to notice that we fail to notice, there is little we can do to change; until we notice how failing to notice shapes our thoughts and deeds

    Hahahaha

    Your not wrong James!

No point in spending like a drunken sailor.

The seller wanted over $1k for it James ..... but it seems it shares the same serial number with several other Mk4's I was able to find on the net.
We renegotiated and I paid $150 including a set of mounts.
Only time will tell if I got a bargain or not.

I bore sighted it in the back yard old school style.

Took it to the range and fired one shot at 25m which showed I was about a 1" high.

Fired two shots at 100m and found I was about 5" high and 1" left...... several clicks later on both turrets and three more shots showed I was 2" high and good to go.

Six shots from bore sighting ...... not too bad even if I do say so myself.

Spent the rest of the afternoon sending slugs downrange from a tricked out AR15 ... .... It got bloody addictive and slightly competitive too after a few shots I can tell you.

    Cheers
    Pete
