    I reckon they are the best option out there for a rugged compact dialable scope. I have a couple of 5-25 and rate them but don't own a 3.6-18 yet. I don't think you can go wrong though.

    nah there's more rings out there for it now. little more niggly than a 34 but its fine.

    I think they come with rings? But none the less not helpfull when wanting to stay away from rails

    Exactly so - anything bigger than 30mm tube and direct mounts become much harder to source
