Haven’t seen one of them for a while.

Yeah I’m pretty certain it’s MRAD on the bottom and M distance on the top, that was with Federal Gold Medal Match out of a 10.5” barrel I think

I’ll see if I can find a manual for them.

I’d be inclined to keep the markings; maybe black out with paint, aluminium black or felt pen. The original gives them character. Classic scopes !

Not the worst idea, have some black plastidip, that should do the trick and be removable.

Nothing wrong with a 308. The pill and powder make a difference.

I have a 3-9x Mark AR, elevation dial looks similar. Bottom small markings in MRAD, top markings in yards (good ol' yanks, mixing metric and imperial!) for 55gn at 3100 fps. I've worked out it will be within 25mm (mostly much closer) for my .284W out to 550m, if I use the top markings for metres rather than yards and zero at 20mm high at 100m. Also works well for the 243 with 95gn projectiles. So maybe compare to a drop table for the rifle you intend to use it on before hiding all the top markings, it may turn out they are near enough to be useful.

And if you don't want them both, I might put my hand up for one!
