The front has a grub screw that makes contact with the front of the receiver, it almost is just there to only just touch so as to give support under recoil.

the rear has a small wedge that fits into where the stripper clip is feed into, then the rear of the mount screws into that, sort of like in the attached image, however, in order to get the rear of the sight in place it cantilevers the mount "a lot" upwards
