There is a small amount of play but preload and its gone. Here is some photos with a Harris to compare.
One area that it beats a Harris is cant - there is definitely more cant with the magpul.

Yea, liked shooting with mine over the weekend. Sat at the range and the bipod was nice and stable, no issues with the play. Sunday it was great out goat shooting, spent the whole day on my rifle and was good in forestry cutover with uneven ground and sticks.

Only thing I don't like is its not quick detach, two screws mean it takes longer to get on and off and you have to have a Allan key or flathead on you.

Good to hear feedback on these fella's - How did you like the panning feature? One advantage it has over a Harris. Be nice if it had QD though as mentioned.

These shouldn't be far from hitting NZ shelves soon hopefully.

Yea the pan was good for the goats. The knob underneath locks the pan and tilt up tight if you want to and it stays tight even after 50 rounds with my 308.

Got some spikes that are ment to fit it so will see how they go too.

Any more follow up on these bipods? Anyone tried the sling swivel version?
I've heard they don't have the pan feature and wanting to confirm before buying one.
Any positives or negatives to it? Cheers

@Mills ... have a look on the 55six website. The description on there claims 40 degrees of pan on non swivel models but not the swivel version. Give Ken a call and ask him. He's a good guy and normally very helpful. There are several versions available on there.
