    have you looked at just lathing it down to make it lighter?
    brno barrels are pretty light to start with but doing this will shed alot more meat, and like you said the barrel is fucked anyway

    and basically fluting is done to increase surface area while maintaining rigidity and shedding a little weight
    rigidity equals accuracy to a certain extent
    heat shedding by increasing surface area isnt really something valuable to subsonics as they dont generate fuck all heat


    I understand if this is just for shits and giggles but if you want max effect then going down to number one or smaller profile would be more effective
